About
My interests include ecclesiology; contextual, liberationist, and post/decolonial theologies; religion and social movements; theology and (popular) culture; and Appalachian studies. Through the lenses of liberationist and post/decolonial theologies I am researching movements of resistance and radical social change in Appalachia in response to human oppression and ecological devastation. I am also a musician and singer-songwriter and a participant in the Rock and Theology project (www.rockandtheology.com). Recent essays of mine have been published in the Journal of Postcolonial Theory and Theology and The Conrad Grebel Review and I currently serve on the board of the Catholic Committee of Appalachia.
