I am a PhD student working on early Mughal history, in particular on the interaction between the state and society, as mediated through the lives of sufis, scholars, and military commanders.
My masters was on the career of Shah Quli Khan Mahram (d. 1601), a Mughal nobleman whose biography raises numerous questions for the historiography of early Mughal India.
