About
I study the production, use, and reception of charters and cartularies in twelfth- and thirteenth-century England, with a focus on bringing the concerns of social and book history to the field of diplomatics. Other interests at the moment include medieval Latin clerical authors during this period and problems of genre as applied to the sources for administrative history.
