About

After ten years working in the publishing and communications industries, I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Information from the University of Toronto. My research interests include: community archives, cultural heritage, social connectedness/community development, lgbtq activism/history, same-sex parenting.

I recently completed a master's in archives and records management from the University of Toronto. My graduate work included courses in archival arrangement & description, cultural policy, archival advocacy & outreach, records management, and reference services.

I'm a member of the Association of Canadian Archivists, Society of American Archivists, and the American Library Association. I am also a CIHR Fellow with the Social Aetiology and Mental Health Training Program and the Centre for Addiction & Mental Illness (CAMH) in Toronto.

I explore community archives and lgbt issues on my blog at www.archivalobjects.com.
