About

Colin McCartney is a staff anesthesiologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and an Associate Professor, Department of Anesthesia, University of Toronto. He is the Director of Anesthesia Research at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Medical Science at University of Toronto.
His research interests include prevention of acute and chronic pain following surgery and use of ultrasound in regional anesthesia. He is an Editor of the journal, Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and Associate Editor of the British Journal of Anaesthesia.
He regularly teaches at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-certification level and supervises graduate students at the Institute of Medical Science.
