Research interests: Global health; Photojournalism; Societal determinants of health; Education in emergencies; Rebuilding attachment bonds across communities following protracted conflict.
Current PhD research looks at social and political dimensions of health and effectiveness of traumatic stress (PTSD) intervention as applied to instances of African genocide.
Past experience includes clinical research, practise, or humanitarian relief in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the DRCongo, India, and South Africa. I have also taught in England, France, and the United States.
I am half Filipino and half Indian. I also enjoy taking photos, playing bike polo, and running half-marathons.
