About

a Persian-Canadian Academic and a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto.

I got my undergraduate training @ UofT's Engineering Science program, one of the world's top undergraduate engineering programs. A program with focuses on fundamentals, interdisciplinary linkages, and features of both breadth and depth of various science frontiers. Providing its students with such a unique background, the program prepares the students to do cutting edge research. While there and Before graduation, I got brief research exposures in genetic engineering, microfluidic devices, biofluidics and most recently medical imaging.

Through research internships and graduate research positions, I have been honored and privileged to conduct research at some of the world's finest academic institutions, namely "Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, University of Toronto "and "Khademhosseini Lab, , Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology"

Currently I am pursuing my doctoral studies under the supervision of Professor Richard S.C. Cobbold, a world-renown ultrasonic expert and Dr. Howard J. Ginsberg, a Nerusurgeon at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Canada. The focus of my PhD thesis is image-guidance for spinal fusion surgery.
